Description
Surprising perhaps for a fig based drink to be home grown and handmade in the Cotswolds, and it has come about through a happy experiment. While doing some late pruning of our fig tree in the first lockdown I noticed how very fig like the scent of the leaves is. The tree has never been very good at producing fruit so I decided to try and make something with the leaves of which there are plenty! The result has been a runaway success. At the food fair where it was launched every person who tried a sample bought a bottle, even with our very high taste to buy ratio, this was a record!
It is not only delicious in cocktails and as a dessert wine, but is also fantastic with champagne or prosecco.
